Please know before you go to pick this book up that it is chock full of drama and a lot of common triggers including but not limited to: eating disorders in graphic detail, body horror, animal death, bullying, abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, substance), gaslighting, mental health, self harm, suicide attempts.

This book is for those who are a fan of the mean girls & high school drama trope. A fast paced, very action sequenced tale told from three alternating POVs of high-school aged girls training to become prima ballerinas. It is VERY different from the Netflix show, although the vibe is pretty similar. Be mindful when/if you choose to read this that it deals with A LOT of heavy themes. Happy reading.

I'm disappointed in YA authors that support John Green, after how he attacked a teenager online for mentioning (not tagging, someone else did that) him in a post.http://fishingboatproceeds.tumblr.com/post/121316109713/mattcatashpole-astro1995#notes

The second book is as wonderful as the first one. Though it feels a bit dragged out in the plotlines.... It doesn't undermine the feeling of hope and joy it creates.(was much needed)
Again, as in the previous book the second book too deals with the characters in a realistic manner. June, Bette and Gigi all found a special place in my heart....So it was truly heartwarming to see how the three ballerinas fought their internal battles and made up a place for themselves in their own ballerina world.
