Really good!! But I expected more... IDK why!! It's just something just felt off in this book.
Not enough romance and the whole mystery was boring. Yet I loved her writing.
I have mixed feelings about it.

After the events and revelations of Heist Society, Katarina Bishop has become a vigilante thief, only stealing to right wrongs and recover what crooks have taken from the innocent. She's also determined to work alone, shunning the help of her family and her best friend/dreamy love interest, Hale. But when Kat gets conned into stealing the Cleopatra Emerald by another powerful female thief, the fallout is more than she can handle on her own.

There is something about the pacing, exotic settings, and visual-ness of these books that makes them obviously ready-made for movies. But that doesn't bother me. I really enjoy the story and characters and would love to see them as movies!

Ever since successfully completing an epic heist, Kat has developed a taste for the rush that accompanies pulling off a difficult job. Unlike the rest of her family however, she only steals for good reasons. When she learns about the Cleopatra Emerald, a huge gem that was stolen decades ago, and is offered the chance to steal it back so that it can be given to a museum in Egypt, she knows it's an impossible job... but one she can't help wanting to try...

Uncommon criminals was very similar to [b:Heist Society|6574102|Heist Society (Heist Society, #1)|Ally Carter|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1301587189s/6574102.jpg|6767235], although it was a little sloppier than the first book and lacked a lot of its charm. In both the Gallagher Girls series and this one, when Carter finds her formula, she sticks to it like glue, recycling the same jokes, etc. That's fine, and a lot of teens surely want nothing more than a consistent, entertaining, action-packed series, but a little more variation wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Uncommon criminals would also have benefitted from a more thorough recap of what happened in the last book.

Those complaints aside, this was a good, solid crime story. Clean, plot-driven without completely forsaking romance, humorous, and hard to put down, this is a good choice for most teen girls, although they should read Heist Society first.
