One of the best and broadest fantasy worlds I have read recently, action packed from start to finish with incredible world building and monster design. The characters are fascinating and so fun to read about, and the lore is well explained without getting bogged down in the intricacies of such a broad world. It all seems so effortlessly done, which is so inspiring to me as a writer. I was hooked from the first page.

This book was a journey that I was willing to go on from page one. This was beautifully written. Entirely immersive. I felt everything from the love of Thorkiel to war of the Battle-Grime and Bloodsworn, To Orka’s pain and rage, and lastly Varg’s and Elvar journey to discovery and Battle-Fame. A must read. The ending had me gasping and yelling “no f-ing way!”. Can’t wait to sink my teeth into the next book.
