This is one of my favorite Alex Delaware novels. Maybe because it’s based around the psychology of the crime more strongly than the crime itself. It was also my introduction to Munchausen’s by Proxy, a criminal disorder that I find fascinating and baffling. Cassie Jones is the primary victim of the book, and the crime is abuse, although murder happens later (not to Cassie). The case originates with Alex rather than Milo for a change, and I liked that. As usual, Alex and Milo are both intriguing characters and their friendship is one of the highlights of the series. It would be a good entry point to the series (as it was in my case), or if you’re already a Kellerman fan, it’s the Alex you know and love in his brilliance. Highly recommended.

Had a hard time getting into this book - it just seemed to drag a bit. I liked the eventual ending but the reading was tedious at times. I'm a big fan of Alex Delaware and I hope the next book is better for me.

Good story but quite predictable "who it is." I thought so anyway :)
