I'm really really on the fence about this one. There were portions that I was enjoying immensely and flying through and then there were portions that I considered dnf'ing in because I was so fed up with some of the ridiculous things that were happening.

To start, I find it really unbelievable that Callum would want to protect the monarchy so fiercely- he might have some relationship with that part of his family but seriously?  He just immediately decides that he's going to defend the monarchy with his entire life. There was almost no hesitation and no wavering and I just don't find this a very likely scenario from someone from California, born and raised.

One of the biggest parts that got me thinking that this was going to be utterly ridiculous and I should quit when I was ahead was this part where
Oliver the prime minister!!! takes Callum the furture king!!!! to a mean Twitter user's house to intimidate him???  There are so many current legal battles surrounding this exact thing- strangers showing up people's doorsteps because they're angry at mean worlds on the internet- and I just cannot believe that any security team ever would let this happen for both security reasons and pr reasons.

I was willing to overlook previous issues and was going to rate this between at 3.5 and at 3.75 until Amelia
the younger sister is arrested for conspiracy to murder the king because she wants to be queen to prove that girls can be queens and I hate it.  It is an utterly ridiculous reason and reeks of the "feminists just want to  to murder men to have their power".  At first I just thought it was ridiculous and tired but now I'm getting angry the more I think about it because it's just so blatant and obnoxious.  Also it's never explained how Amelia and her accomplice get a gun to start with. It's explained that Amelia as part of the Royal family does not have to be searched before entering the church they're doing the  ceremony in, which is fine I can accept that, but I don't know how they even got a gun to start with in the first place in England. Whose gun was this??
