Pros:

While the book has troubles and hardships it is wonderfully uplifting.  The characters truly become people you are wishing good things for and that you want to know more about.

The side characters are gems and I really hope that they are seen more in the rest of the series.  Mr and Mrs East are adorable and truly have set the tone for the ranch to be a happy place.  Their love for each other, the family and the work holds everything together.  Caleb and Brice are growing before our eyes into wonderful men I hope we see find their happy ever afters someday.

Those who like it spicy will not be disappointed!

Cons:

I wanted to see how Gloria reacted to Abby leaving and to know more about her involvement in things.  Truly, I wanted to hear a bit more about what happened to everyone with all the legal issues.

The Christmas Cowboy Hero was absolutely one of the best western romance, I have ever read. I loved the characters, and the whole story to boot. Thank you, Donna Grant.

3.5 for me, simple romance, predictable, but sweet. Will be reading or listening (this was audio, so that may make a difference for some) the others in the series.

The Christmas Cowboy Hero was the perfect blend of romance, intrigue and family. It's also a standalone and that makes me very happy.

Clayton has stayed away from his family for many years but he comes back to save his parent's ranch after they've gotten themselves into financial trouble. But what he doesn't expect to happen is fall in love.

Abby's brother gets mixed up with the wrong people and finds himself working on Clayton's ranch to make up for it. So then Abby finds herself on the ranch often and slowly starts to fall in love with all of them.

This was a cute romance. The sexual tension was smokin'. I'm glad it was a standalone and wrapped up nicely. I look forward to the next books. I'm quite curious as to who's going to be featured.

I received an arc for an honest review.

This book hit all my buttons, a holiday romance, past tragedy, a Navy Seal Cowboy!!! Whew. I picked it up and didn't put it down. I loved both Clay and Abby and how sweet they were together. Add in the mixture of both families and sigh, it was great story!

This series was sweet and with a couple that so deserved to be loved by each other. They both needed a HEA. Oh and it was a Xmas book, awwww.

Clayton is an Ex-Seal who comes home to help with the farm when everything has gone to hell. Stolen cattle, a father who is ill and more. He was so sweet and wonderful and yes a true cowboy hero. But with wounds of his own.

Abby takes care of her two younger brothers and does nothing for herself. They are dirtpoor but they have each other. She was great, he whole family was great. But then her brother steals cattle. Which leads to the best thing ever. They all meet hunky Clayton.

I liked how they slowly became friends and then more. I felt it moved in a nice pace and that they truly liked each other.

There is also some suspense regarding the stolen cattle and who was behind it all.

Narrator. Rebecca Estrella
She did do a good job and kept me listening and wanting more. But I did feel her voice was not as strong all the time. But that is me personally. You can not click with them all. But I would still listen to more by her
