Extremly good book. Even while knowing the myth, i could still get immersed within the story and feel it in my heart. I had alot of emotions and avsolutely loved the book. It is a classic greek myth involving
Spoiler gods, hubris, known figures, tragedy and prophesies
while still feeling modern and fresh. I liked that you can start reading without knowing the myths or characters and still enjoy it because of the amazing and natural explainations

liked it the first time. After reading more of the author’s academic work on ancient Greek culture I come back loving and appreciating it even more. Cried both times

The caring, devoted bond of the main relationship, and the grief of being a good person, the desperation for honour and fame, the fear of loss, are so heart-wrenching -- both in the sweetest and most painful ways -- and they fit together perfectly in romantic and blunt prose that held onto me and didn't let me go until the end. I'm so glad I read this so I could feel the joy and the tragedy and know the beauty of this story.

Honestly, I overhyped this book. Don't get me wrong, it was enjoyable, but that's about it. Maybe it's because I knew the original story and liked that one more (the way it was told, I mean) - I cried twice listening to it the first time... I only got teary once with this one. I was expecting much more, but eh, I think this author is just not for me.

This was fine. I just felt like a lot of parts were slow. I honestly did not feel an attachment to these characters. I think it’s because we don’t really get to know them in my opinion. Also this didn’t  really make me sad because I knew it was going to happen, but Even still I didn’t find it that sad. I just felt detached from the Characters. I did start to enjoy it more towards the end.
