i wish i could rate this higher. i bought this at a tiny bookstore in north dakota on a road trip and hoped it was good...it was GREAT. oh my god. this book was so so beautiful! great writing, amazing pace, characters so real i feel like i knew them. a realistic look at life. it wrapped up so well in the end, too! 10/10 i will be recommending it

I love this book. This was the second time I’ve read it and it’s incredible. It’s short and sweet because it doesn’t need any fluff. The lessons that Eddie learn from each of the 5 people he meets in heaven are reflected beautifully onto the little we know of his character. His life and relationships are fleshed out perfectly by them and altogether the books messages to Eddie are great lessons for the reader as well. So beautiful and I am very excited to read the sequel!

Okay, listen

This book made me sob at the end.

Pros: It kept my attention. I didn't want to put the book down.
Really good lessons for Eddie! And the reader!
It seemed as though it was a book that you would get wisdom from when you're in a low place in your life.
The narration was third person, which hasn't been seen in a lot of the books I read.
I cherished Eddie and Marguerites' relationship. He was in love with her, and it showed. I commonly thought. "Where's my man to treat me like this!"
I'm a sucker for a book cover with meaning in it.
I was close in guessing the fifth person.

Cons: It felt as though it was missing something, but I can't put my finger on it.
Maybe it's due to not being the most religious person? But the book was a nice, wholesome thought for being recommended by my cousin.
It disappointed me, though, because so many people said it was good. (My cousin and my business math teacher)
