4.5 stars.
Guess this will be my favourite of the 3 books. Connecting the mythology and yet creating a totally different story is what Amish is good at! I really loved how the suspense was build up until the very end.

"There is a god in every single one of us. And there is evil in every single one of us. The true battle between good and evil is fought within."

Shiva realises his true destiny as the Neelkanth which is to fight against evil and not against any particular tribe or kingdom just because it is different. In search for the evil and also to avenge the death of his friend, he sets on the journey to find the Nagas, the 'cursed' people.

The Author took the Shiva Trilogy to the next level with this book. The story was a continuation to the events in the first book. As the title suggests, the book unveiled many secrets not only of the Nagas but also of the Royal families, and the mysterious Vasudevs, giving them the required depth. Shiva's Interactions with the Vasudev Pandits throughout the book were some of my favorite parts and kept me gripped.

If you liked The Immortals of Meluha, I recommend you to pick this one soon.

It's much better than the first of the trilogy. The story was more interesting and eventful. One can say that he was developing characters in the first book but the difference in language and maturity of the writer is quite noticeable. I enjoyed this book as I always enjoy Indian mythology, though this is quite a different take of the famous legends. Will be looking forward to the third and final book.

While this book initially did not seem as interesting as its predecessor, the story is really catchy once the reader understands Amish's subtle philosophy..
