Audiobook (All of my entries on The Story Graph are audiobooks.)
Why I added this book to my TBR pile:  I got this book through a 2-for-1 sale at Audible. Otherwise, I would have never noticed it or been interested. (After nine years as an Audible member, this is the only 2-for-1 sale I have ever participated in.) It's not a traditional mystery or romance but it has elements of both genres.
Will I read more by the author? Probably Not Maybe Highly Likely I enjoyed this story in many ways, but by the end, I turned the speed up to 1.3x. The author started out very strong, but seemed to set his sights too high and tired somewhere in the middle. Eventually, the rich dialogue and scenery was replaced by letters to summarize action. The end seemed thrown together. It was a nice enough tale though.
The narrator was Elizabeth Knowelden. I must have listened to other books by her. She read very well.
