First I must say I loved Marissa Meyer's creative take on classic fairytales. I loved that she used the original tales and their origins to create her twisted version of these stories. She linked them together so well that the story just flew off the page at an exciting fast pace.

This was a very epic conclusion to the entire series and I enjoyed it! I love that Thorne continues to work on himself so he can deserve Cress. I love that Winter will be the first to try a new prototype to help her with her Lunar sickness. I love that Cinder did what she set out to do. And I love the unconditional love between Scarlet and Wolf.

I would have liked to read a little more about everyone's happily ever after. I feel like the ending was a bit rushed to tie all the major relationships together. But I guess I'll just have to read Stars Above and see what everyone's happily ever after looks like!

But can we talk about poor Wolf? I feel like this guy seriously got the short end of the stick. Wolf and Scarlet are definitely my favorites and it kills me that Wolf went through two transformations and the death of his mother. I mean come on! Poor pup 😣He has all my love and sympathy.

Lastly, I am wondering if anything will happen between Kenny and Iko.... Just saying, there is some tension there.

I am very stingy with my five star reviews. I don't give 'em unless I think a book deserved it, made me totally not know where it was going. Also, this was book four of a trilogy that had a bit of a rocky start. Could it be really a five star read?

YES. YES IT WAS.

This book was everything to me that I couldn't put it down. So giddy with emotions that I finished it with a smile on my face. It's been a while since a book has done that.

Marissa Meyer not only knows how to write amazing action scenes, she knows how to write characters with heart. Even though they're based on fairy-tale characters, she truly makes them her own. That's why I think this series shines.

One day, I hope there is a movie series based on these books. I have no idea who would take up the task of adapting and producing it, but it made me smile that the cast of characters had people of all races and they all had their turn to shine.

In the end, if you waited for this book, if you enjoyed the previous ones, then you will enjoy this. If it doesn't exceed your expectations, well, coming from someone who rated the first book three stars, it exceeded mine.

While I acknowledge that there were likely parts of this read that weren’t perfect, I struggle to rate it lower for such. I found it that enjoyable of a book. I enjoyed the multiple perspectives of narration. I will note that the perspective became overwhelming at times, in terms of tracking who was speaking, but I also can’t imagine it being another way. The characters continued to be well developed and flushed out. There was humor, romance, sadness and hurt. And it blended together beautifully.

Honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do with my life now that I can't vicariously live through these characters. Marissa can just take my library card and have access to all my money at this point. Fingers Crossed that Stars Above, Heartless, and coming soon: Gilded, are just as good as

I love this whole book series so much. So so so so so so so much. I love all the characters. I’m so sad I’ve finished the series, I wish I could forget everything that happened and reread all of it again. And again. And again. And again. This is one of my top book series EVER now and did I mention that I love it so much.
