Good book. Not exceptional and certainly nothing even close to Daisy Jones except that it’s about a band and a girl with a tragic story. But it was a good read. Definitely tackled some hard topics but did so a bit lightly I think, which maybe is a good thing. Or maybe is what kept it from becoming an exceptional story.

This felt like a celebrity version of 13 Reasons Why, in a not good way. I’m sure this is marketed for adults, but the writing feels YA. I kept imagining The Spice Girls as I read this, which disturbed me. I had high expectations for this book, and none of them were met.

If it’s a book about fictional celebrities and their celeb vs. real lives, I’m gonna read it. And if it sprinkles a little gay in there, I’m gonna love it.
