A literal transcript of the authors therapy sessions that helped her discover what her depression was and maybe even where it came from. Dysthymia, know as a persistent mild depression, is a type of depression and anxiety that a lot of people live with, and this book helps define and give voice not only to this specific diagnosis, but to those who struggle with it all over the world.

I was really looking forward to reading this. It seemed to be everywhere on bookstagram and, based off the description, it also seemed like something I would love; sadly I did not love it as much as I thought I would. I've never been a big non-fiction reader, but this caught my eye and I had high hopes. The transcript between the author and her therapist was interesting at first, but became repetitive and slightly mundane. I enjoyed the reflections she put at the end of each chapter and even found some helpful habits I can apply to my own life. But overall, I don't think this was for me.
