This is a great book! I really enjoyed it! Colleen Hoover has a way with words. The audio book was phenomenal.  I loved that the readers put in emotion and did different voices for other people. It really sucks you in if the writing doesn't.  I really couldn't put the book down.

I had never read a Colleen Hoover book before this as its just not the type of book i would usually read, but i saw this on kindle unlimited and decided to give it a go.
It literally had me crying, your heart just absolutely breaks the whole way through and then its just magically put back together again at the end its like therapy.

I still haven’t fully processed my feelings toward this book as I finished it approximately 2 minutes ago. I was in a book rut and it’s been on my TBR for months. I’m just over 8 months pregnant and have been struggling with that wonderful pregnancy insomnia so I decided to start it last night. I spent the last 4 hours (it is currently 3am) devouring this book.
I cried at least 10 different times. I don’t know if it’s because I’m currently growing my own human, but somehow Kenna and her situation hit me so freaking hard in the heart. I already love my son more than anything in the world so reading about a mother separated from her daughter when she loves her so much was devastating. And then reading and relating to Scotty’s mother was equally as devastating.
This may be my favourite Colleen Hoover book so far. It’s so full of grey areas of emotions and when to give someone the benefit of the doubt, how to forgive the unforgivable…
It serves as a great reminder to lead your life with compassion first, skepticism later. I’m going to try to sleep now and tell the baby in my tummy how much I love him

Couldn’t see the pages due to my eyes being blurry. I know COHO is fatty controversial… but that still doesn’t mean this wasn’t a good read 😭🙈

As always with Colleen books, I suffered and died with this one, the story was really heartbreaking and I put myself in Kenna’s shoes and I hated how hard her life was. Kenna didn’t have a good childhood and everything in her life fell apart so I empathized a lot with her and I just wanted her to be happy.

After 5 years of being in prison she just wanted to know her daughter but all the people surrounding her thought she was a bad person and wanted to keep them apart. When she met Ledger they were both intrigued with each other but she was just hoping to meet her daughter and she didn’t want to be distracted. When she found out Ledger’s connection to her daughter she tried really hard to know things about her but life kept throwing her down until she wasn’t sure she would be a good influence on her daughter’s life. I really cried when they treated her badly, she was an amazing person and thanks to her rough childhood she didn’t have anyone to cheer her up and tell her she was enough.

Ledger was really close to her daughter and while sometimes I understood he was protecting her I felt really bad when he tried to keep them apart. At least after some time he tried to see Kenna’s side of the story and I loved when he finally understood why everything happened. He tried to stay away from Kenna but he felt very connected to her and I loved how at the end he helped Kenna to finally meet and be with her daughter.
