I actually wound up really enjoying this. The first two books were just ok but after that it got really good. I do love Joss Whedon's writing style.

awesome story, characters and artwork. Melaka is another incredible heroine, flawed and human and overall amazing. loved that this worked as a something separate from the Buffy series but still had the same themes and connections.

I love futurescapes, and I love Buffy, so this was a shoe-in for me.

Loved this one! Joss Whedon can do no wrong. This would be a fun one to see made into a movie or just more graphic novels. I feel like there's more to explore in Fray's world.

It was cool to see future Buffyverse stuff, but I didn't connect to this one as well. Still glad I read it though and it was a good read.

A new slayer in a far future…but she has to be convinced to save the world…if the world is even worth saving…

Fray by Joss Whedon was an interesting story of a future slayer back when Buffy the vampire slayer was still on the air…that hinted at the slayer’s ancient origins while also hinting at the future of the franchise…long before the show ended or the comics gave it new life…

Melaka Fray is from a time hundreds of years in the future. She’s a thief (think Han Solo from the terrible solo movie) in a world where monsters don’t exist.

Until they do…and an unusual little man tells her she’s the chosen one that needs to save them…

And then he sets himself on fire…

It’s a dark future where very little is familiar, as Fray has to confront the return of vampires, learn from a powerful demon mentor, and try and survive…

She’s may be the Slayer the future deserves…but she may also be the Slayer the future needs…

This has been my favorite comic/ graphic novel to date. The introduction of a new world within the buffyverse was done really well, and the characters had great depth. The graphics are amazing, I really enjoyed the use of color throughout. A great read if you're a fan of Buffy/ Angel, or even just general monster/ vampire take down stories.
