I enjoyed the book but I just feel like it parts of it were unnecessarily long and drawn out. But also not enough James and Cordelia and too much of the side characters. Like don’t get me wrong I love them all but there was too much of other people give me more James and Cordelia!

This was a very disappointing conclusion. The first two books were so good and this book dragged on slowly and then had an ending I am not a fan of (can’t give spoilers). Because of this book it is unfortunately the first series in the shadow hunters universe I will not re read.

this trilogy along with the infernal devices have been my favorites, i absolutely loved the characters and the story so much (as well as the romance) and am so sad to see it come to an end. only reason it’s not 5 stars is because i think it could’ve had a slightly stronger ending and matthew deserved a better storyline but i otherwise think it was a good last book to the trilogy. james herondale, matthew fairchild, and cordelia carstairs you will forever be famous (matthew deserved better though) <3

I might try this once again another day, but so far, I think that the author of this book has milked the cash cow with the Shadowhunter's universe a little too much.

800 pages and the ending still felt rushed. :l

The epilogue for the infernal devices murdered me so my expectations for the conclusion of this trilogy were high.
Bummer.

Definitely felt like a finale! Felt high stakes enough. I didn’t believe a certain death actually occurred until the book ended and they hadn’t been brought back to life. Wasn’t a huge fan of the love triangle. Everything else was absolutely FABULOUS. Anna is my favorite character!
