This book was great, don't get me wrong, but it had less Mason and Sam then I would've liked :( Mason and Nate are finally off at university and Sam and Logan are left at Public just waiting the year out before they join them. After the events of the last book and what Tate shared with Sam, we have some awkwardness between Sam and Logan, which sucked! I was so sad that Logan looked like a kicked puppy and even resorted to telling Mason that something was wrong with Sam! We do eventually get a Sam and Mason reunion but that doesn't happen for a while into the book. We do however get Mason's P.O.V which was amazing because it really does show how much he loves Sam and what goes on through his mysterious mind.

We added a new character, which was a bit odd I will admit but I guess we needed to fill some information gaps from the first book. Marissa really bugged me in this one, I can honestly say I don't like her and her lingering stares at Mason... like honey no, Mason is all Sam's property. We get so much of Nate I kind of want to have a novella with his past because he is such a loyal and awesome friend to both Sam and Mason and to even Logan despite the drama between those two.

A huge shocker and reveal happens at the end and I feel so bad for all of them because it really is huge and frustrating! I can't tease you guys enough about the twist and the big 'reveal' but it will definitely make you frustrated and mad. I won't tell you with whom but it's at multiple people. Grr. Anyways, again Tijan writes the best books out there and I loved this one no less than the others :)

Just a reminder, I am still reading the next one, Fallen Crest University, and it's been taking me a while because the following one after that isn't out and I want to finish one and move on to the next quickly you know? Just thought I'd let you guys know, if you were wondering why the review won't be up for a while.

Damn!!! Tijan, you were born to be a writer. This is by far the best of the series. I loved every bit of this book, even the parts that annoyed me. I would give this book 100 stars if I can, but the limit is 5!

Sam, she is strong and more determined in this book, especially with her running. Sam did annoy me when she kept secrets from Mason and Logan, especially Mason. I feel the only problem with Mason and Sam relationship is their communication. I think Mason realized that too about them. I know from reading and the actions from Sam how much she loves Mason and it was sooo amazing to read that, because it wasn’t forced it was natural. I love Sam and Mason as a couple. They're my number 1 book couple of all time.

Mason, he really is one of a kind. His love for Sam is just breathtaking. His loyalty and determination is just amazing. He had girls throwing themselves at him and he told them straight up that he has a girlfriend. There was no BS or wandering of the eye. I truly believed that Mason thought his battles was left at high school and in college it will just be football, school, and Sam, but he was wrong and had to deal with Nate, Parker and Marrisa. Did I mention how much I love Sam and Mason?

Logan, he was just that Logan. He was the comedic relief in the story like always, but a much darker side of Logan came about. Whether it was because Mason was gone or because of something else I don’t know. He really does love his brother and his “sister-wife” Sam to death and would do anything for them. I really hope that Logan finds his better half like Mason did with Sam. I hope he kicks Kris to the curb because she isn’t for him.

Nate, I’ve always been on the fence with Nate, but at the same time I always liked him. He definitely was going through an identity crisis. He was a prick for bringing Marrisa to lunch with him knowing the damage he would cause. He did redeem himself at the end, but he has a lot more ass kissing to do in the next book.

I am actually shocked about Marissa being so cray cray, because man was she cray cray. The ending had me on pins and needles, it definitely changes everything and I am nervous and excited to find out how this will all end.

This book wasn't as dramatic as the others, and although I'd hate to give away major events in the story, I do want to share what Sam told Mason:

It’s you. It’s only been you for me. When I came into your life, I might’ve seemed strong, but I wasn’t. I had nothing to lose. When you have nothing to lose, you’re capable of doing a lot of damage, but suddenly I had something to lose. You. My mom put me through hell, and I will never forgive her for that. She threatened to take away your future and mine because of it. She damaged me, but you held me firm. Kate and her cronies came along. They tried to break me. It didn’t happen. It was you. You held me up. You kept me strong. You loved me. I don’t think you will ever understand how much I love you. I could love Logan. Yes. There was a small moment when it could’ve been him, but only if you were never in my life. ONLY then. You’re the fucking moon and stars to me. Logan would’ve been fireworks on the Fourth of July. There’s no comparison. You need to get that.” “Sam,” he said, his voice droppedstrength, but to have my own. A tear slipped out. I lifted my head, and he tilted his back as well. Cupping both sides of his face, my eyes met his and searched inside him. I was looking into him. I was piercing his walls, making him feel me slipping inside him. We stared into each other’s gaze, and I knew he felt me there. His eyes widened a bit, and he tried to step back, but I kept hold of him and held firm. He stayed where he was, in my arms. I promised, “I will not leave you. I will not hold back anymore. I will not allow anyone to get in between us. They don’t have to deal with just you anymore. They’ll have to deal with me too.” This was different. It was in the air. Something in our relationship was changing, something that was for the future, for a better future. I couldn’t explain it, but it was intoxicating and it was moving and it was making me feel like I could conquer anyone. I whispered again, “I love you.” He continued to study me, then a wall fell away. Some of the weight from his shoulders slid to mine, and he closed his eyes. Drawing me back against him, he pressed his head into my neck, and his lips brushed against my skin. I heard him murmur, “I love you too, Sam.” I held him tight and thought, So goddamn much.

Sam has really been through a lot and I think that the biggest problem throughout the book was that everyone was holding back, which was sooooooooo annoying, because it would've been nice if Sam had just told Mason from the start what that b*tch told her in the previous book. Personally, it was an easy read, I liked how it wasn't completly drama centered, and I thank Tijan for making me proud.

This is probably the best book in the series.

I think Tijan took it to a whole new level with this one. It felt much more mature than the previous ones, because it lacked some of the soap opera drama that went on before. I love the drama that is Fallen Crest High, but to tone it down a notch and focus on more 'serious' stuff shows that the characters actually grow with the books. Fallen Fourth Down was packed with drama, of course, the difference was it didn't become too much. It had to be there.

I could really believe the love between Mason and Sam (not that I didn't before), it felt so real. Stronger and more beautiful than ever. Their passion is out of this world! And then there's Logan. I loved him even more in this one, even though there was a feeling of uneasiness between him and Sam. I just think he's the sweetest and funniest thing ever. And this supposed 'love triangle' was handled well, though the confrontation couldn't have come sooner. I was nervous about this from page one!

"You, Sam. I love you. Only you. When I'm not with you, I survive. When I'm with you, I live."
