This book was addicting but it was hard to start the first 60 pages or so had many topics that made me feel uncomfortable for instance rape more than once detailed and not, and a forced abortion on one woman, these topics do not last particularly long but bothered me enough to almost not finish the book. Past those pages the book was pretty good the equivlant of a b rated movie you can't stop watching. It feels like a wattpad story on paper in some aspects. I would recommend this book for the smut alone but the plot had to many potholes to be recommended for storyline. I will say I do want to buy some more of the series so success to the author I guess.

This book is a good time. I wouldn't call it a good book, but I enjoyed the ride nonetheless. Don't take it too seriously and enjoy the big, blue aliens.

Another book that I saw raved upon on social media and was weary to start. I was averse to the idea of aliens and what that entails, but the aliens' similarities to human bodies made it not as gross as I anticipated. As someone who does not read sci-fi, the sci-fi elements in this book was fascinating. It was quite intense in the first chapter with the
rape scene and torture-like environment.
I understand
why Vektal and the male sa'qwi (not sure how it's spelled as I listened to the book) are overly enthused at the word of female humans , but it did feel weird.

I like the realistic-ness of body hair on Georgie's body. The third nipple is funny.

I really enjoyed this book! It is a super easy entry into the PNR genre that is packed to the brim with heart, heat, and humor. Despite being only 180 pages long I didn't feel like anything was rushed or that the book was too short. I feel like a lot of the time when a book is that short a lot of things feel lacking, but that wasn't the case for IPB.
We follow Georgie, our FMC who has been quite literally abducted by little green aliens, put on a ship and hauled off into the cosmos. The opening scenes are admittedly a bit confusing and grim, but are a neccesary introduction to the struggle for survival that ensues.
All of that may or may not sound like your cup of tea, but when I tell you I was grinning down at my Kindle reading most of the interactions between Georgie and our main man* (Alien) Vektal-- I absolutely mean it.
Our MMC is quite literally *ribbed for her pleasure*. His singular goal in life after meeting Georgie is being the perfect partner, and watching him fawn over her as they both learn to understand each other was way cuter than I was expecting. To top it off, it is unironically funny.
It doesn't feel like a book that is meant to be taken "seriously" in the sense that you would want to go in with the mindset of "these are the circumstances, everything feels super heavy and doom and gloom". It points to the unfortunate situation the characters are in, and makes light of it, matching the energy of absurdity with a level of "when in rome" acceptance.
I enjoyed my break from reality, and give it a solid 4*.

Really exceeded my expectations. I borrowed it from the library out of curiosity and I thought it was going to be really bad / goofy / cringe-y.

There's an actual plot in addition to all the sex scenes and I thought it was really well written for this type of book. It was funny and felt grounded in the world building. The SciFi elements were well done. The tension and stakes were good as well. Also the audiobook acting was really good!

Fyi when I rate books I only take points away when something bothered me about the book/ I think it should've done something differently/ there was something about it I didn't enjoy. So in my opinion this is a 5/5 because I didn't have any notes for doing any of it differently and I enjoyed reading it.

Trigger warning
there's one short disturbing, rape scene at the beginning  rape  by "bad aliens" not the titular ice planet barbarians.
