Aliens
Fancy šŸ†
Mates
Language barrier

Big blue dude essentially says ā€œHi, youā€™re my mate!ā€ by putting his mouth on the FMC's šŸ˜¼. I donā€™t have an issue with his greeting. I have an issue with the fact that sheā€™s not really conscious and consenting. She could have beenā€¦boo.

40%ā€¦itā€™s not been a day. This book is moving fast.

Over all; this isnā€™t the worst thing Iā€™ve ever read, I may even give the second book a go. But I canā€™t help but feel that the popularity of this book is mainly driven by people new to spicy books. I canā€™t help but feel like the novelty of spice and alien peen is the primary reason people are enamoured by this book.

Overall the book was meh. I enjoyed the more survival focused bits of the book and the communication barrier between the humans and the aliens.

The sex scenes were...not my cup of tea. They were very...you know when you are making fun of bad heterosexual erotica and how to guy has a 20ft dick and the woman orgasms in 2 seconds? That's what it seemed to be.

Also, I'm assuming this is a fault of the platform I listened to the audiobook (spotify) and not the actual book, but content warnings were not read. Which meant that in the first chunk of the book, I was suddenly thrust into a r*pe scene of a background character by, for lack of a better term, prison guard. I was not prepared AT ALL for that and although it didn't go into much detail--it was still a jarring scene to listen to when doing my dishes!

well, enjoying an alien romance was not on my bingo card for 2024 but here we are and i very much enjoyed it. donā€™t come for me for it, i am exploring my tastes and will delve deeper into unknown territories. Vektal in my eyes is just a big olā€™ cinnamon roll & head-over-heels for Georgie and is that not want we all want in our romances (blue skin and weird armor aside)

the best thing about this book is that georgie and vektal were basically in love from day one and them calling each other my alien or my resonance had me giggling like a fool. it was cute, hilarious and quick, the head empty no thoughts kind of read I needed. will definitely be back for more in this series as i know the pairings of the humans and sakh will be comedy gold but the sweetest too.

side note georgie getting that khui = quesy šŸ¤¢

please please please if you read this check the tw/cw, they are at the start of the book and whilst i knew they were there i couldnā€™t be bothered to go back and check, one part in the first 10 pages did make me pause but i skipped it as soon as i got the gist and thankfully it didnā€™t last longer than 1 page.

For what itā€™s worth, blue aliens and all, this was mildly amusing and just a decent plot to follow. I didnā€™t take it too seriously but it was a nice read in between books!

Alien sex...Hm...what more to say about this? Georgie is human from Earth with 14 other girls are abducted by little green men and abused by their bodyguards. The crash land in a cold harsh planet totally alone. On a scouting mission she's half dead but runs in Vektal. A seven foot blue muscular creature with a tail  whose way of greeting is oral sex.

I didn't notice it before but these beings sound like the na'vi from Avatar, except these creatures live on a frozen planet...not a tropical moon. Still if you sci-fi erotica then give this one a shot. Who ever knew sci-fi erotica was a thing?
