Just don't think I can get behind the idea of toxic masculinity being something to aspire to having in a relationship. Do we need it there for the story to be hot? Can't there be a separation between the professor and the sexy hulk - if that's the kink you're going for? I guess that would be a different kind of story. And each to their own. But goddamn, so much of this was straight out of the gendered violence textbooks.

I’m not usually one to read “smut” books but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It is also considerably better written than books I have read that would also be considered smut. I also liked that the whole book did not revolve around the smut and also had an actual storyline. I would’ve rated it higher if it wasn’t for the fact that the ending kind of sucked. I hate when authors write a really good book and then seemingly get lazy at the end and ruin their own book with a lacking ending.

I loved this book! I liked that it had thriller elements while mainly focusing on the romance. It had really good plot twists and really great lead ups to the plot twists.
