Really surprised! First hockey romance and it was good! I liked that there was conflict without the overuse of a pushed or contrived “miscommunication trope”

There was miscommunication but it was realistic and handled in a way that seemed like it would have occurred in real life. I’m curious who the next book(s) will be about!

I loved seeing the former gang as parents to college kids now! Gigi and Ryder getting together could've been the drama for the team but I'm glad things just came out of left field with their love after the holidays. I always had doubts about Case but the fact it took him a year and a break-up to say "I love you" was proof it wasn't love on his part. They know by 6months if they see a future with you, don't be fooled.

Read. This. Book. Seriously - read it!

You know I love me some Elle Kennedy, but I’m almost disappointed I read The Dixon Rule first.

Gigi and Ryder are just perfect. Dare I even say they are *better* than Garrett and Hannah. (Slander, I know).

Their love story is just so sweet and wholesome and the fact that they don’t fight it or complicate it or waiver, even once, when they get together makes me believe in true love.

If you loved GG and The Deal, you will die when you see Daddy Graham in action here.

Love how this book flowed. Up until the end there was something (
A fight between Case Colson and Luke Ryder
)that I was looking for to happen. Even though it never came to the the alternative was still good. For my first official Romance read ever I was very very pleased❣️

3,75 Sterne. War es gut geschrieben? Nein.

WOW WOW WOW. I have always said I will read anything and everything Elle Kennedy by this book was PHENOMENAL. I would definitely reread it in the future. Ryder and Gigi just become more and more loveable as the book goes on

Gigi and Ryder

Entertaining palette cleanser. A mix of rivalry-adjacent banter, plot, sport, intimacy, emotions and 🌶️.

I’ll happily read more from this writer’s ice hockey college romances.

I disliked some of the writing  choices, including the uneven pacing of dialogue and of plotting. Some of the sex scenes dragged, and others didn’t stick the landing. The exhibitionism was appealing but it felt tokenistic rather than sincere. Plot wise, I was frustrated by not seeing a challenge to fairlee’s bias and handling of the team USA roster.
