Decent ending to the trilogy. Agree with others that it wasn’t the favorite of the series, but still worth the read.

Certainly the weakest of the three. The writing felt procedural. Like Characters felt more in service to the plot than in service to themselves. Overall I enjoyed the series and am glad I finished.
Spoilerthe first book was the best, second book took us away from the main story with the characters and created this story of Silo 1. The third book attempted to bring them all together but just felt inevitable. I knew what was coming, the deep dives into why went unanswered. Character would die but then other would just move past it in service of the plot. The religious plot was extremely uncomfortable and hamfisted. There was enough tension without marrying off the youngest child to a creepy priest out of nowhere. It wasn’t a focus of any of the books or a note in any of them so it just felt really bad instead of adding to the narrative.

A few things.
I think this is my least favorite of the series and yet, it was still a great read.
My biggest complaint is by far the ending. It’s hard to believe that Charlotte and Juliette being the people they were described and built up to be would walk away from the other silos and let them stay the way they were… even without the servers.
Second biggest complaint is that things just didn’t feel fleshed out enough. Darcy lasted such a small fraction of the story. That was annoying. Charlotte shouldn’t have been sent by herself. And Lukas should have had more impact in his death. He was such a central character to just have his death being him flopping over on a radio.
Why would the nanos stay in a cloud over the silos? Wouldn’t they disperse more?
As sci-fi goes, I’m still very pleased with the series.

A fitting end to the trilogy, taking the first two books and finally bringing everything together, and getting a great resolution. Love that the world is wide open for other stories to happen.
