I'm a huge Madonna fan and I really liked her children's illustrated books. I didn't realize she took the English Roses and made a chapter book out of them. This is for 8-10 I would say - it's pretty young. The girls are fun and they have a friendship bond to aspire to. I have not read the first one and that was ok. The narrator is a tad preachy at times. This is a story about the bonds of friendship and what happens when you move away from that. This is Madonna - of course I recommend it.
