Logan walked into Theaโ€™s NYC bar six years ago, they had a one-night-stand, and she ended up pregnant. Unfortunately, she didnโ€™t have any of his info, not even his last name, so she had no way to track him down. Then, fate led him to walk into her new bar in Lark Cove, Montana, and there is no mistaking that Charlie is his kid.

Ok, so my favorite parts of this book were 100% Logan bonding with his newly discovered 6-year-old daughter, Charlie. She doesnโ€™t open up easily, and it was so cute watching him stumble along while getting to know her.

The love story was also very sweet. They knew they had chemistry way back when, and that chemistry is still undeniably there.

The โ€œsuspenseโ€ part seemed a little out of place, like it was just added on to add a bit more drama, but overall this was a cute and cozy small town romance read, with some single parent/secret baby-ness, that I thought was done well.

Audiobook notes: I loved both narrators. Aaron Shedlock and Maxine Mitchell make a great team!

What this book is giving:
โœ… Small Town Romance
โœ… Dual POV
โœ… Secret Baby
โœ… Bartender
โœ… Philanthropist
โœ… 6 year old girl

Thea and Logan had one single night together yearssss ago, but when she found out she was pregnant she was unable to track him down due to not knowing his last name. So she moves, alone and pregnant, from big bag New York to a quaint town in Montana. So imagine her surprise when her one-night stand turned baby daddy pops up in her town almost six years later for completely unrelated reasons.

Tattered is the first book in the new Lark Cove Series (adult contemporary romance). The main setting for this story is Lark Cove, Montana.

Thea and Logan! I love a good secret baby romance, and this one didn't disappoint.

This was an endearing story about second chances, falling in love, and finding your happiness. I absolutely enjoyed reading it and meeting these wonderful characters.

Trope: one night stand, surprise child, small town

So I did the audio on this one and it was just ok. I found the story engaging in the beginning. Secret baby trope where a one night stand turns into a pregnancy, and the 2 not seeing each other again for years, until by some miraculous chance they meet each other again in FMCs hometown bar where she coincidentally stocks his favorite drink. Itโ€™s very cheesy and predictable but it was cute in the beginning. The weird email/stalker thing was very out of left field and added nothing to the story and the ending with it was just.. what? Idk. This one was eh. Decent for a random listen while playing video games but not one I would pick up again.

3 stars

This could have been a 4 stars book but the she main character was super annoying and a bit stupid at times.
Otherwise this book is the embodiment of rainbows and unicorns. Nevertheless fun to read! At the end of the day that's why one reads Devney's books. For these alpha male characters that have it all , are it all, and give it all. Yep!
