Honestly, this book was, in the words of my mother, "foul". I think the author was attempting to go for romantic and sensual, but I cannot take him seriously. After reading lines like "her clitoris was palpitating in her panties" for nearly 100 pages, I gave up. This book is a textbook example of a man trying and failing to write a woman. She had no depth of character, was constantly infantalized and over sexualized by the author and the love interest, and was just boring. I realize it's hard to write a prostitute without having sexuality being a major theme, but this was unreal.
