This was a good end to one part of this whole arch and yet I found it interesting that it chose to return to humour in the middle of it.  Which I did find funny. Yet this answered several questions and yet still keeps somethings secret. But I would say that this break was cut short at the end as it seems to be setting up the climax of this series.

My goodness, this whole series has been so intense and mind-blowing. New twists and detail has been added that I really am excited for the next volume!

Honestly I have such anxiety over Hoshino dying before she finishes this series. I feel like we are getting close to the end just by the tone of the series now and name of the chapters, except there is still so much mystery!! Mostly a transition book, lots of character moments and hints to the wider mystery, but the plot didn't move forward that much.

Maybe it's because I haven't read any new DGM in so long and I'm blinded by my nostalgia, but this volume was really nice.

There's more background on all the craziness that's happening, the art continues to stun me, there's still snippets of Hoshino's quick and stylistic humor, and the discussion room questions in the back of the book blew me away. Ten pages? TEN PAGES?! Wow. I ate it all up. There's a lot of neat little details put into it as well as small jokes and cute character interactions.

Also, I'm so excited for the (eventual) day Lavi comes back. I've waited so many years, and I'll continue to wait.
