The book offer a thoroughly researched view on the forces at play that cause societies to go into crises. I find the author's writing quite engaging and straightforward to grasp.

This book is very enlightening! Demonstrates the economic forces that are leading us to chaos and crisis. The liberal blames conservatives, the conservative blames liberals, but neither is at fault.
Also discussed, during war people are traumatized by the massive losses and come to the conclusion that we just have to figure out how to get along to avoid the horrors of war. But as time moves on, people experience less of the losses of war, and become more and more comfortable with the idea of war, making it more and more likely that war will occur.
We’re at that point now. Our leaders have forgotten the horror of war and thus are headed straight toward it.
Highly recommended book.
