This one was odd. Trace was kinda funny in an irreverent way, but too often even Hollis didn’t know whether or not to take him seriously. And somehow she still knows him well enough for this to be one of the fastest romances I’ve ever read. That made it very eye roll worthy, and I wish it had been a bit more realistic.
I’m also seeing a pattern in Ney’s books of guys who start the book as assholes (even in their own thoughts, not to mention how they treat the mfc) and then miraculously stop being assholes halfway through the book, like it never happened.
