Ruby is like a breath of fresh air! When unexpected events have her meeting serious Curtis, you know things are going to take off in ways neither of them planned on. The story focused around Ruby but it also included snippets involving Kim, Ruby's boss/friend. Both of these ladies deserve a happily ever after and it was fun to see each figure out how to get what they deserve. The more I read, the more familiar this book seemed. Perhaps some of the scenarios reminded me of other similar stories because I don't think I've read this one before. Am pleased with how everything turned out and look forward to reading more by this author because her writing is fun, refreshing and brings a smile to one's face.

I knew I was going to enjoy this book but I didnt expect to fall so in love with these characters and this story. I ended up devouring this in one sitting and I loved going on this little adventure with Ruby and Curtis! I loved watching as they both grew as characters and seeing how their relationship developed.⁣

Promise of Summer is such a heartwarming story with two amazing characters at the forefront who are so unique in their own right. This was the perfect summer read which you should all pick up! ⁣

DNF. Found myself actively disliking all the characters and the dialogue.

Aww - this is such a cute story!

I love the fact that we get to follow not only Ruby in her idyllic and somewhat naïve search for the perfect man/or at least the perfect "swimmers", but we also get to follow her boss, Kim, from being a grieving wife to a strong woman getting her life back on track.

This book gives you lots of hints about life to follow. The point of it all being that you cannot change a person to fit you, because everyone is perfect in their own way.
You just have to way until your perfect person shows up... Sounds easy enough, right?

Thanks to NetGalley and Avon books for the ARC.

Oh, I am so happy I read this! And totally looking forward to how the story unravels (as this was only Part one out of four!).

We are following a woman who is heading to London for an important meeting which we do not know the nature of until much later. She is a florist with a gift in writing greeting cards :)

On the train to London she meets two men who will make that day in London certainly unforgettable to say the least.

Funny, unexpected, refreshing plot and two characters that are like night and day but somehow work well together despite first or even fifth appearances :D

I picked this one up after I read *The Library* by Bella Osborne and I definitely love her writing, her characters, and the wholesomeness that comes out of experiencing her writing. I am genuinely happy to have discovered a new beloved author to me and warmly recommend you to read one of her works if you wish for your heart to warm up, especially when the world might seem grim at times.

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon Books UK for this e-copy of 'The Promise of Summer - Part One'. I am very grateful for it!
