Beautiful illustrations tell this reflective, but completely unrealistic story. If you have a whale lover, they will probably enjoy this one. If you have a realist - skip it.

Gorgeous drawings, and a cool, kind of subtle, environmentalism message. A bit of magical realism thrown in with the protagonist being able to 'hear' the whale's thoughts within her mind. Slow, relaxing pace.

Lee White's illustrations are absolutely gorgeous. Quiet story about conservation and connection.

Ayla loves this one. Me too. I get a little misty when I read it with her.
