This book starts off with an intense heartbreaking opening scene. With several more deaths to come Lindsay, Cindy, Jill and Claire get the ‘gang’ back together again to figure out who the new serial killer is.
Other than the fact I felt Lindsay is a lot more anixous/agitated this time around, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel.

Loved this book. Definitely need to read "1st to Die" first to get background on the characters. Very fast read.a_alves00's review against another edition

James Patterson never stops amazing me. And this collab with Andrew Gross really makes me what to try out his books too. These men have a profound ability to write thriller books where you are literally hooked from the first line. Also, the short chapters don’t help. I keep saying one more and then realise the chapter is only two pages and then it’s an unstoppable cycle.
I did prefer the first book, hence why this one received 4 stars. I would have given it 4.5 however I don't like working with halves (thanks Goodreads!). The main reason as to why I preferred the first book was that this one was a little bit more predictable. Not so much the main storyline but more like the subplot regarding Lindsay. On the other hand, one thing I preferred more about this one was that we got to see a little more into the personal lives of Cindy, Jill and Claire. Although the main themes of the book are crime and thriller, there’s nothing wrong with a hint of romance here and there 😉
I loved the storyline and like I said, the main plot was not predictable at all. It kept me guessing until the very end. This series might slowly become one of my favourites if it keeps up this pace. I was only planning to read the books here and there but now I am thinking to read them all in one go. But I don’t want it to end so quickly.
I would 100% recommend this series and a bonus point is that from what I have looked up and others have told me, you don’t necessarily need to read it in order.
