The exploration of Rachel's character was thrilling to me, honestly. She was truly the main character and you felt it throughout the book, even with Miriam in the front center of her life. It was so interesting.
I do feel that the discussion around Palestine, Jewish people, Zionism and Israel was handled a bit carelessly, however. A lot of things towards the end felt rushed.
