NO DEAD LESBIAN SYNDROME!!! Tbh this is the best sapphic book I’ve ever read. This was queer girl content I needed.

Really really weird. Interesting to read in some ways but soooooo bizarre. Some parts of it are so introspective and deep and then the very next chapter has her at a gym masturbating on a bike…in public???? what a roller coaster. Also the way she sexualized everything and had explicit thoughts about every person she met was so deeply uncomfortable like just get a vibrator PLEASE I BEG. *rest*

If you read literally any other review you’ll know that this book isn’t for everyone. Melissa Broder takes an extremely honest and raw approach in writing about what love, food, and sex look like for someone abused and addicted. I won’t say how long it took me to read because I kept having to put it down between chapters that left me empty or disgusted. And I don’t think I would necessarily recommend this book to everyone, but it was still life changing. I closed this book realizing that I don’t want to ever read another author afraid of complete honesty. I think that feat deserves four stars.
