The need you series is definitely a favorite. I can't tell you how many times I've read and listened to them.

I am totally swooning! I loved this so much. It was really entertaining to read but oh my goodness, getting to know these two characters and watching them fall in love was so sweet. And Axl? Omg! Thud! That man. Oh my!

Axel and Annika had this perfect, bickering, animosity, verbal sparring thing happening that totally made me smile. Mixed in with that was this flirtiness and I was just so excited for them to get together. I love how all their details were learned over the course of the story, I thought there was great character development and an excellent build throughout. This was told from dual POVs, I loved their voices and getting inside their heads. Annika is such a strong woman and I love her fight in going after what she wants. It was so nice getting to see a softer side of her after reading the previous two books. Axl, I swear this man made me melt. He came across as such a jerk but the more you get to know him and he opens up, I was seriously done for. I just loved him so much.

The two of them together had so many fun playful moments, I was smiling big time. The ease they have with each other and how things progress just made me happy. It was entertaining. In the beginning they had so much sexual tension and I was literally thinking, now! Do it now! Get together now! I was just so excited for them to connect. They had awesome chemistry... my belly literally flipped on several occasions thanks to these two. There is a nice amount of emotion mixed in as well as bits of drama. There were just so many scenes throughout where I would literally stop and and think, this is so fanatic. And that ending? Holy wow talk about romantic! Again with me swooning for Axl.

Throw in all these great secondary characters and I was loving it even more. The Lund family, the cousins and brothers, Axl's friends and teammates. I felt they all really added something to the story. There were a few updates for previous couples and some things hinted on with others and I'm excited to see how it will play out in the series.

It was all so great. Storyline, development, build, pace. Characters. The sexy times. It was all awesome. I love story's like this that are filled with humor but are also sweet and sexy with really great characters. They leave me feeling so happy and content. This was definitely a winner!

I love Lorelei James. We're social media acquaintances, have met at writer's conferences; that sort of thing. She's awesome in person, but the thing that draws me to her is her books.

For me, this was the weakest of the bunch (and I want to cry about that). Axl didn't come alive for me, although Annika did. I loved their early-on banter! I loved the nicknames they had for each other.

Maybe it's the secret boyfriend trope... that could very well be it. I loved the early stuff, up until Annika shows up at the party. And then... it just stopped being fun. The thrill of the chase was over, mostly because they had to head underground. Not that I buy the whole media all over them thing -- I live in a pretty die-hard hockey town, and even know where a couple players live (one lived right on the route I'd drive to and from the gym he and I belonged to) and... there is gossip about who's dating, but never in our society pages. Maybe on blogs, which is what the journalistic write-ups felt more like, anyway.

And as someone who played hockey through grad school, I've been around the culture. The only people who constantly used terms like "puck this" and "sin bin" for the box... they were usually trying to get me in bed, and we were both aware of how overly cutesey they were. But a serious player? The box is the box. So the cutesie terminology use bugged me.

So I dunno. I mean, it's Lorelei James. But I think if it were anyone else, I'd have not finished it, or at least maybe been less disappointed to say "meh" about a book.

I absolutely love The Need You series and All You Need has made it even better. I loved this book. The chemistry between Axl and Annika is off the charts from the beginning. The banter between the two...loved it. I also was tickled over the pet names...Attila, Ax-hell. Those cracked me up. What I really enjoy in these books is the strong sense of family and friends. There are so many supporting character that you get sucked in and want to know more about all their lives.
So if you haven't read this series, start with the first book. You won't be able to put them down. Thank you Lorelei James for such a fantastic series!

Axl was introduced briefly in Just What I Need and was pretty much a jerk except the way he treated Annika was pretty funny. I thought Annika was a very likeable character and her interaction with Axl did make me laugh. How can you not like characters who call each other Ax-hell and Attila. The previous books in the series were pretty good but i think this is the best one in the series so far.
