This was so good! Very well written, I loved the plotline and all of the characters were fantastic. The magic stuff was described really well, it helped me get into the book and visualize things a lot easier. The author put thought and effort into these descriptions, and didn't go overboard to bore the reader.

Fantastically written, I can't wait for the second one!

I'm still not sure how I feel about this book, and I'm reviewing it weeks after finishing it.

I wanted to love this book, and many parts of it I do; the atmosphere, the unique take on magic and witches, the mystery and interwoven stories are beautiful and well planned. I was drawn in almost immediately, and wanted to learn every nuance about this strange world. But I was promised a romance, and I just didn't feel it.

I'm thinking of giving it another shot before the sequel is released in hopes of a better understanding of the connection.

There were a lot of good and interesting elements to this, but I felt like it was missing something. The beginning with the toad stuff was delicious. Not literally- it was actually very gross but I loved it.

Witches, wine, and France.... what could be better? How about romance and revenge?

I love a quick paging turner read to lighten up some of the heavy duty, mind changing books I’m into at the moment. Smith is a new to me author that I picked up at the library drawn in by the name and color art- I’m a sucker for a black background floral cover and you had me at WITCH in the title for sure.

So in 18something France, vine witches are employed by vineyards to help create a successful wine and season. Elena was the vine witch at Chateau Renard until struck with a curse and transformed into a toad. After breaking the spell, she is compelled by her need to return home and seek revenge on her former fiancé. Things have changed considerably in her time away, and her Grand Mere has sold the winery to a former lawyer with a bend towards science and technology and no time to indulge the old wives tales and legends of Magic.
A fast read with a great twist and more books in the series. I’d call that a reading win.

This book was quite a different one! I was surprised by the creativity of Luanne G. Smith with the wonderful piece of work that is The Vine Witch .

The Vine Witch is about a young witch, who was cursed, learning to find her magic and her way in the world, all while trying to save the home she loves. She's on quite a path that takes her through some really rough times, but also shows her how true of heart someone can be when given the chance.

I loved the magic and the different aspect that these witches have specialties or professions for their magic. It was a wonderful read and I cannot wait to see what is in store in the next book. 10/10 will recommend for those who love witches, magic, love, mystery, and fantasy.
