The illustrations are captivating and the story makes me chuckle - a favorite of both Violet and mine.

I love this.
This book is fantastic. It shows expression, what it means to be wild, friendship and belonging.
5-7 years.
(I didn't realise picture books were on Goodreads.)

Poor Mr. Tiger just doesn't like being stuffy and proper, so he gives in to his wild impulses. I adored this book. It has brilliant illustrations that work with the text to deliver a giggle-inducing story. Nicely done.
For: tiger fans; readers looking for a silly book.
Possible red flags: animal "nudity," as in a usually clothed animal without clothes; some readers may not appreciate the overall message about wildness.

I enjoyed this so much! The color differences, the meanings of the artwork and framing, and the overall theme were all fantastic. It was such a pleasure to read and I'm so happy that it was an assigned read for my class because I got to learn and analyze it more then I could have on my own.

Mr. Tiger is tired of being prim and proper and so begins trying new things. First walking on all fours, then not wearing his stuffy suit. His friends aren't sure how to handle his "wildness" and tell him to go to the wilderness if he wants to behave this way. Mr. Tiger is excited about this and heads off. Although he is happy with this new way of living, Mr. Tiger also becomes lonely, so he decides to go back to the city. He discovers things have changed a bit.
Wonderful book with a great message. Be brave, be yourself.
