Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC for my true and honest opinion.

I did enjoy the first volume of this manga series. The premise is around Lizel who finds himself in a city that he is not familiar, in fact in a world that he is not familiar with. In this new land he appears as a nobleman and decides that he should make the most of it and go on an adventure. He hires an adventurer named Gil as a form of tour guide and bodyguard.

I am really interested to learn more about the two individuals, the adventures they go on and the mysterious and magic.

Those who enjoy fantasy and Isekai genres will enjoy this book.

A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, Vol. 1, by Misaki, Momochi, and Sando
★★★★★
208 Pages

With incredibly beautiful artwork and a clever, unique plot, A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation combines a dash of adventure, a slip of mystery, a hint of potential romance, and a budding friendship to give us a story that keeps your attention from start to finish.
The plot is cool, original and intricate, with hints of more to come, suggestions of secrets yet to be revealed, and a running storyline that has a distinct beginning, middle and end, while leaving more for further volumes.
The characters are well written, well explored, and given time to shine. The way they're drawn means that they're not only consistent, but there are no chibi characters for smaller panels, which is a pet peeve of mine. I love when the characters are visually distinct, individual and clearly recognisable, even in the smallest panels. Their gestures, mannerisms, and facial features are all unique to the characters, too, which helps to show their character more clearly. Another pet peeve that was avoided was the overabundance of “sounds” that can happen in manga, especially yaoi. This story avoided that, only using the most necessary notations, and I was so happy. It kept the story panels crisp, clear and really easy to read, follow and adore!
The attention to detail meant that, while I was reminded of some of my favourite mangas – Black Butler, Monster and the Beast – I never felt the similarities were in more than the feel and vibe. The characters didn't look, act or sound the same. But the atmosphere has that same distinct, clear, unique historical vibe with a paranormal twist.
I'm holding out hope for a romance in the future, because I'm a massive BL and MM reader, and I see lots of potential here.
I loved it so much I immediately bought my paperback and will be re-reading it as soon as it arrives. As soon as I get paid, Vol. 2 will be in my shopping cart.

Favourite Panel

I love how you can see the characters personalities in this panel. One, strong and fierce, a little standoffish and threatening, while the other is lax, lazy and playful. Everything from the posture, hairstyle, outfit and facial features tells you everything you need to know about these characters, right here in this one panel.

Such a random book to read but was surprisingly enjoyable and did a great job of setting up complex characters for their future adventures together.

What would you do if you suddenly find yourself stranded on a different world? How would you haber the knowledge to survive and to mingle minewhile you want for your master to magicly retrieve you?

Those and much more are the challenges that Lizel has to face when arriving to Parteda, the capital of an strange land. But his luck (or something quite similar) never runs out, this time in the shape of
Gil - a mercenary/adventurer - that would become his partner and protector in what seems to be an unconventional friendship (?!) and a career in the arts of questing.

A sort of "forced vacations" that would intertwined the fate of both characters and would keep the reader enchanted by the author's art style, amused by the quest and expecting the coming events.
