This is not my favorite by this author. It was slow to start and seemed to drag, but ended ok and glad I read it.

Disgraced actress Casey saves her wealthy neighbor, Katherine, from drowning in the lake they both live on. They get off to a friendly start and Casey, interested in Katherine's seemingly perfect life, begins observing her neighbors across the lake. After she witnesses some strange events within their home, Katherine disappears, leaving her husband as Casey's prime suspect.

This book took a really strange major turn and I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but I'll give it three stars because it was enjoyable enough. I didn't feel a strong attachment to the main character which is always disappointing to me, and I usually like stronger suspense, but there were a few surprises in the plot along the way and I at least thought the main character developed well by the end of the book.
