If you love Greek mythology you will love this. Beautifully written tale of Achilles and his life/love. The ending was so sad but beautiful.

oh my god. i usually don’t cry to books and this had me sobbing. i didn’t even expect myself to, it just happened. so beautifully written. i love when character’s love between each other just is. it doesn’t need to be overtly explained, they just deeply love and it is what it is.

I was hesitant to start as I struggled to finish Circe, but it exceeded my expectations. Beautifully written. I almost shed a few tears as the ending nearly broke me.

I’m almost scared to post this bc I know how much everyone loved this book, but it’s just not for me. Mythology books are just not for me.

While I can see I guess why ppl like it and why it’s so popular I am gonna be honest and admit that there is nothing wrong with this book, it’s just not my type of story. If you love romance and fantasy you may very much enjoy it.

The physical book took me a bit to get into until a friend recommended that I try the audiobook. That worked flawlessly, and the audiobook hooked me in enough that I was able to finish reading the physical book. The end is the tear-jerker that BookTok warned you it would be, so have tissues ready.

i liked circe more but dang miller is cracked at writing. this book genuinely sent shivers down my spine in ways that many other books have not. and there are certain things patroclus knows and feels that particularly resonated with me and things i know and feel at this time [yes back to vagueposting on goodreads we're SO back] not reallyy sure why this is 4 stars and not 5 (i do know actually and it's because i'm incapable of any semblance of consistency) but despite everything i felt in the moment i don't particularly see this book staying with me
