They keep getting better and better

4 stars
Egyptology, a mummy’s curse, hot air balloons and we meet Caroline de Morgan (Stoker’s wife!) for the first time.
Can’t wait to start book 4.

I liked this Veronica Speedwell novel a LOT, mostly for the Egyptology references throughout. We learn even MORE about Stoker, and his past -- including more about his ex-wife and the shit that she put him through. Poor man. Seriously, what a bitch.

A Treacherous Curse is just as good as the first two in this series, if not a little better. You really get to know the characters after three books, and it's fun to see how they grow together and more into who they are as the story progresses.

Still highly recommending this one, especially if you like Victorian mysteries!

I love Veronica and Stoker so much and I adore the more emotional moments we got between the two in this one.

The plot wasn’t my favourite but I was still intrigued and just love the banter so freaking much.

I’m so excited to see their relationship develop even more throughout the best books.

4/5 stars!

Aaaaaand this one has an Ancient Egypt-related mystery so of course I loved it!

The character development for both Veronica and Stoker is *chef’s kiss*. I was especially glad to get more insight into Stoker’s past and watch these two cuties grapple with the drama while also solving a mystery together.

On to the next soon, no doubt.
