An intimate look at two families and how their lives intersect over 20 years. This book reminded me of An American Marriage and Ask Again, Yes. The story is told from multiple viewpoints and I thought each character was developed beautifully, to the point that I almost wish it would have been multiple novels or intersecting short stories so we could've gotten each one's perspective in full!
Graphic: Gun violence and Racism
Moderate: Abortion

It was an intimate look at two deeply flawed families and the way they come to together and fall apart.
