My first day back I checked this book out. I'd read the first over and over on the plane, the second in Surabaya and I was ready to finish the series (even though it turns out there is more than three books!)
Overall I enjoyed the book and it was fast paced. I however could predict everything. Which made it quite boring...
But I did really enjoy the series and would recommend them to lovers of fantasy and paranormal fiction.

The story line and world creation has been great in this series but I almost gave this a 3 instead of a 4 because I really did not like Clary. As a main character, her temper and rash decision making become more like spoiled temper tantrums than the heroine she was meant to be and it grew old. This smooths out as the book progresses but I found that her happiness in the end mattered less to me than the happiness of the other characters.

I have no idea what drove me to finish this. I was half way through and I started reading at like 10 pm, now it's almost 3 am and I can really say I honestly enjoyed that. I THOUGHT MY JACE WAS GONNA DIE. And omfg Sebastian tho! And yes, they're not actually siblings! CLACE WOO! And OMF Sizzy is forming guys! Anyways I'm not gonna get like any sleep and I'll be dozing through first period. #noregrets
