Well that was emotional!

I struggled a bit with the big variety of characters in audiobook form. The regular ones I was fine with but the Gavin and Gareth threw me a couple of times!

I really enjoyed the cold case vibes but the story was a little predictable in places. The final twist I didn't see coming though. I feel like I might immediately start the next one! The writing style in these books is really engaging and it makes them such a quick read.

I have never read a book that I literally had no opinion on after having read it. Like it's fine, I don't hate it and I don't love it either. It's just there.
All I'll say is that Sara Courtney is a girl boss and I wish her all the best.
Spoilerimagine trying to figure out the secret to some weird numbers you were told 90 years ago and never even considering that they might be coordinates. Major L for Gavin

3.5/5 stars. Overall, I enjoyed this latest instalment in the Roy Grace series; however, it took a while to hook me. I liked the storyline and the plot developments, but I found the writing a bit flat and a little forced at times. Also, Sandy the Psycho seemed a bit extreme and contrived. I have wondered about her during the course of the series, but I never imagined she would be so immature, self-centred and crazy. I also wonder about the logistics of her disappearing act. I am interested to see what the next one is like.
