I don't normally post reviews for books, in general. but this series started a downward spin and everything wrong about it kind of culminated in this book. To be honest, I give my stars as a "was this worth what I paid for it," and this book was super frustrating. I wanted to finish the story arc, though, and I did - that was the ONLY reason why it was worth the 99 cents.
First issue! did the author just cut and paste sex scenes between books, and even between chapters? because they are all exactly the same.
Second! Also, the "marriage" scenes - totally cut and pasted. I noticed it in this book because the number of people from the Force standing up for the groom numbered FIVE, instead of SIX. oops.
and THIRD. this is maybe the most frustrating part for me. In this book, and this is the real spoilery thing, turns out that our Heroine is a hidden green dragon. her dragon is awoken before the mating ceremony. Now, in each mating ceremony the elders talk a lot of fancy stuff about each color of dragon, and how special they are. Our hero has a silver and black dragon, and the elders describe how special the dragon is, what traits the silver symbolizes, what the black symbolizes, and then charges our heroine with accepting and undertaking these traits. BUT THEY NEVER DO THAT FOR HER DRAGON. what, are green dragons second rate? the man never has to accept and take on the lady dragon traits? I was super frustrated.
all of the other increasingly incredible parts of the book series were totally acceptable to me. but these three points, they are not.

Finally, Andrew’s book! It was awesome. So different than the past 6. It is story of redemption, even sometimes when we don’t deserve it. Andrew and Emma are perfect for each other. Andrew’s soul is tattered but Emma’s pure light brings him back. A lot more of the history and mystical nature of the dragons are revealed. I recommend reading these books in order, you would lose a lot if you didn’t. An excellent read and a great addition to the series!

Forgiveness and Second Chances
I've been reading the Dragon Guard Series in KU after receiving Books 1&2 for free. I highly anticipated reading Andrew's book because I knew it would be about redemption and forgiveness. Honestly, I am all in for stories about second chances.
I felt bad for Emma. As Andrew's mate, her life was in turmoil because she was so drawn to who everyone saw as the traitor. When she decides that she truly wants Andrew, nothing and no one would stop her, and she came out fighting for him with everything that was within her.
To seek redemption, I feel that a person must be truly sorry, remorseful, and see the error of their ways. I was looking for that in Andrew, but it was so hard to find sometimes. He would apologize to Kyra, Sydney, and any of the other females who were caught in the crossfire on his quest for revenge against his brothers. Yet he couldn't understand or take responsibility for his part of his capture, or what happened afterwards. Even his brother Aiden admitted where he himself screwed up, and how he felt that guilt for six years! The spirit of both his deceased parents told him what he needed to do, and how, but he was one hard-headed dragon man! I wanted more from Andrew, wanted him to work harder to gain his brothers' trust and forgiveness, and I felt a bit cheated that I wasn't given that in this book.
What I will commend Andrew for is him willing to give up his life to stop the pain and torture his mate endured because of him. The love he felt for her was both strong and powerful. I guess that's to be, especially from someone who was prophesied to be the Special One.
I still shed tears reading this book. First for the suffering both Emma and Andrew went through in trying to get him "back." Then for hurt and loss Aiden and Aaron went through when they thought Andrew was "gone." No matter all the things Andrew had done, they loved him. Then, when Grace finally goes into labor, and what Andrew has to do--amazing. (I have to admit that I saw that coming before I even got to this book.) And last, Sydney. That really touched and broke my heart at the same time.
I wish that Emma and Andrew had the chance to spend more time together. I also wanted more happy times with the three brothers and the rest of the guard. What I wanted was a true epilogue, one that would wrap up this story, not give a prologue to the next.
