Confessions was a fun little read and while it had its problems, I thought some of the ideas used here where very unique. It’s hard to do things that have rarely been done before and I think this novel accomplished that.

The strongest literary device here to me was that this book was the same exact story being told from different POVs multiple times, while this at moments felt a little repetitive I loved that every chapter could be the same events but a completely different story based on the narrator. Every new retelling flipped what you had known previously on its head which made you question each character. There were times where I felt disgust and sympathy  toward each person and it all depended on who was talking.

I wasn’t sure how they’d wrap this all up but I think the end was a nice little tie up to the events of the story and ultimately as close to Justice as one could expect in a situation like this.

Overall, this was an interesting read and while it could’ve grabbed me more I did appreciate the use of unique story telling and I’m excited to watch the movie.

This is a really dark and interesting book. The slow reveal of the character's motivations leaves readers conflicted in who to sympathize with and who to root for. Really enjoyed and will leave an impression

Whoa. What a ride. Such a unique, disturbing, well-written novel. The author did an amazing job conveying what goes on in the mind of a seriously depraved individual.

The only reason I did not give this five stars may have been for the wrong reasons… some of the material honestly disturbed me and made me sick to my stomach. I had to put the book down a few times and watch something funny on TV, and try to find something to distract me or give me hope in mankind 🤣 I will take slasher horror films (or books) any day over something psychologically disturbing… the human mind scares me more than anything!!

If you like psychologically disturbing books, you will love this.

Well this one surprised me... every 10% or so I kept saying "how is this not over? what else could there be?!"

I went into this book knowing next to nothing and honestly, it might not have mattered if I knew . I was surprised again and again as we went on and as the layers were pulled back. There is a main event that triggers everything in this book and then we get 5 POVs that give us new information regarding the event.

Even though it could have been quite repetitive it didn't feel like it at all. Also, there are some really interesting themes explored: revenge, motherhood, the responsibility of educators, guilt, misinformation, murder, fear, and so much more. I feel like this is a book that will definitely leave me thinking for a while.

I'd highly recommend to anyone who is into psychological thriller with mind games and a revenge story.

A dark thriller told from various POVS after a teacher undergoes a plan of vengeance on two students in her classroom. The situations get darker and darker as the events of one day unravel into different aspects of the children's lives. It is translated, so it unfortunatley has a monotone feel and there are some weird attitudes towards HIV/AIDS and single parenthood explored. Lots of twists and revelations that will keep the reader shocked.
