Steph Macca is a new to me author and I am obsessed!

King of Spades is book 1 in a trilogy called the Black Spades. I absolutely enjoyed reading this story. This is a dark RH book that does have trigger warnings so I suggest checking those before reading. Now excuse me while I go look to see if I can find either a 2nd book to this series or any other series by this author!

This is a fast paced suspenseful read that is the beginning of a great start to this series. This is an intense dark read that is a roller coaster ride that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

A solid 3.5
I liked this book, and it kept me interested. It had enough action to keep the story moving forward, and the spice was good. I felt sometimes the actions of the FMC seemed selfish and didn't make any sense. There are actually gang members after you and you are meeting up with your friend at an abandoned park? Seems like an odd choice.

This is what I'm talking about I'm rushing to the second book because even tho trigger warnings were missing (3 stars reason) this series is awesome

 I really enjoyed this book, it's a short one filled with plenty of action with a side of giggles to be had and with a few spicy scenes *melts* Looking forward to reading the next one.
