The translator uses too much inversion, Old English (Ovid was Roman+Greek), rhyme (which Ovid mocked), and meter that isn't Ovid's.

Took me a while to get through and some parts, particularly about war and war heroes bored me a little but was in general very interesting.

Some passages in this book are fun to read. The rest is just… God, he really hates women, huh! The translator did a great job, and I really enjoyed the notes he’s added to it. 2/5, would never read this book again, or anything by Ovid really…
