Loved the sister relationships and their evolution through the story! I want to live in this enchanted forest.

This was such a sweet graphic novel with a lot of Moominesque qualities about it. A pair of orphaned Goblins find themselves and their community in peril when the island they inhabit becomes threatened by a series of earthquakes. Is the Earth Queen unhappy with them? The younger of the sisters, Pella - who is definitely channelling a lot of Little My, sets off into the Enchanted Forest to find out. But no one ever returns from the Enchanted Forest...will her older sister, Bix, be brave enough to go after her?

This is a lovely book about companionship, being happy with who you are and the strength and loving and caring for one another. A little delight. My 8-year-old son, a reluctant reader of fiction, devoured it in a single evening.

Very nice world building. Characters were just ok in my opinion but I liked that the villians were true villians that made me uncomfortable. I think the ending was a little far fetched but it's a fantasy.

A goblin's sister runs away only to get captured in the enchanted forest. This is his quest to find her.

Why 3 stars?
Would have preferred a full story of only the water world and the water queen.

Such a cute graphic novel with a great message of sisterhood, friendship and finding bravery. I loved the artwork in this story, and honestly wish there was a second book to enjoy as well.

“No one returns from the Enchanted Forest.” This is the saying that has been taught to every Goblin. No one dares go into the forest. That is no one but Pella. Pella has no fear. She speaks her mind. So when the Midsummer Festival gets canceled Pella takes matters into her own hands and sneaks off to the Enchanted Forest to give the supposed legend, Earth Queen a piece of her mind.
Then there is Bix, Pella’s older sister, who is a worrier and is afraid of every possible thing that can happen. But when she discovers Pella is missing, she must face her fears and the Enchanted Forest to go after her.
Filled with heart and courage. These two sisters may just learn something about each other while going on their journey.
