It was pretty good, I enjoyed the story, and the plot twist was done well. I didn't expect it, but there was also reasonable foreshadowing to it.

I am curious about what happened to the father and brother, though I don't quite remember if it was said what happened to them entirely.
Spoiler I think they died of illness but I may be wrong

I don't know where to start with this.
The first 300 pages of this book I loved, it was looking like a 4☆ read, it was a nice lighthearted read, it got me out of a reading slump, and I could tell the author was talented.
After page 300 tho-
I got angry
Like ridiculously raging angry
Whyyy did the author ruin it?!?!
It's so annoying anger isnt something I want to feel about a book but I'm so angry I can't believe it.
I am not a fan at all of the Spoilersick but then not actually sick just been lied to forever storyline of a book, and I can't for the life of me understand why so many authors think it's a good thing.
This hit so hard for me because it's something that •could• happen to me so I just felt my life in her place and I thought what it would be like if Spoilermy mam suddenly told me I didnt have the conditions I've been told i have
All this just for Spoilerher mams grief?? I know her mam had issues and she needs to see therapists and get better, but I just can't see why that was turned around and made into a book idea
Although this was such a good book at the start, I am so disappointed in the ending and I feel like this book was a waste of my time.
Wouldnt recommend unless you are a fan of the Spoilerone day being told you've been lied to your whole life and missed out on so many opportunities and basically had your life ruinedtrope.
Someone tell me I'm not the only one thinking this x

cw/tw: terminal illness, domestic abuse
age rating: 13+

- it was a nice, quick read. thank you nicola yoon for saving me from reading slumps.
- dramatic teen soap opera storyline. very entertaining, non-sensical plot.
- the romance was kind of cute ngl
- the twist was a little weird, but the ending was quite nice
- the characters were a little cliché and made a lot of silly decisions. not really in an annoying way, but more of a how-are-you-doing-this-with-no-consequences kind of way.
Spoilerlike, she buys tickets for hawai'i and no one notices! plane tickets are expensive! how rich are you that no one will notice you buying a plane ticket?!

non-sensical storyline • teen drama • surprisingly cute romance
