That ending had my jaw physically dropping. OMG. Another one by Geneva that was SO FUN. I am eating this series up like none other. The only negative thing I have to say is his ‘I will protect you and stay by your side always! Jk leaving is clearly the best way to save you bye beetch’ that back and forth I found a little annoying but also a little funny tbh. But truly I had so much fun with this book, there were more twists and turns, more action, and now I’m gonna go dive into book three!

I liked this book but a couple things bothered me:
  1. Thea forgives Julian waayyy too easily in the beginning. She basically immediately lets him back in her life. It felt very unsatisfying and anticlimactic
  2. Ending on a random car accident was kind of disappointing. Like there were so many dramatic things and threats happening, that an out of nowhere car accident was super random and again anticlimactic. Feels super out of place for the story.

But like I said, I still enjoyed it. If you like high stakes adventure and drama, and intense romance and spice than this book is great. It had some of my favourite tropes too: fated mates, dual POV, secret identity, overly protective mate. Solid 3/5 on the spice scale too.
